We are very excited to invite you to the second round of our summer camp in the polish nature, not far from Berlin. We will have 5 days of various movement sessions focusing on different topics, enough time for jam sessions and free time for bonding and getting to know each other. If you are looking for a new movement experience this summer, this is your chance!

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will gain access to different aspects of our movement practices and gain exciting perspectives, tools and insights that you can integrate into your own practice.

The exact schedule will be given prior to the event. Expect about 20-25 hrs of practice spread throughout the 5 days. Main practice times will roughly be between 10:00 and 17:00. There will be a lot of training - but you can also expect some free time to use the outdoor space, the sauna and the pool.

To participate in our camp you don't need any special movement skills, you don't need to be super strong or super bendy. However, you should practice some kind of movement on a regular basis - which discipline or style doesn't matter. This is just due to the fact that we will be training for many hours over many days. Also, for these days it is expected that one is motivated to try something unfamiliar and has some kind of openness to new experiences.

The following content will be presented from our trainers Oscar, Clara, Micha and Eva individually as well as linked together throughout the camp.

SOFTACROBATICS + LOCOMOTION: We will practice different softacrobatics with Oscar like handstands, arching acrobatics, moves from Capoeira and Breakdance, using regressions and preparing exercises to minimize risks and enable training together on different training levels. Locomotion and animal moves will be taught by Micha in lines and connected to sequences, as well as linked to the softacrobatics practice. You can expect step-by-step training of specific moves, as well as flow sessions where we try to let go of specificity and just enjoy moving together.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE + CONTACT IMPROVISATION: How can we create a flow using simple movements, pivots, floorwork, locomotion and softacrobatics? How can we move smoothly alone and with a partner, shifting and following, guiding and flowing together? Eva Leemans will show us how to flow through movement, soft and slow as well as dynamic and wild.

QI GONG + PUSH HANDS: Balancing our practice with meditative movements, training our fascia and calming our mind, Clara will go through simple yet effective Qi Gong exercises with us. Interactive partner exercises will be used to deepen our understanding of Qi Gong principles, guiding us to a playful practice of push hands. Learning how to apply these princples to your general movement practice, can help you find movements easier and enhance your body awareness.

STRENGTH + MOBILITY WORK: Connecting all different aspects of our practice, you can expect a holistic approach to strength and mobility work, preparing our joints, muscles and tendons to prevent injuries and help you to feel good throughout the whole week.


ACCOMMODATION

The Villa is located not far from Berlin (1,5 hours) but offers a huge nature area we can use for training and spending time outside. Not far from the house is a supermarket where you can get everything you need. In the house are several bathrooms, a sauna, a kitchen and a living room.

We have a barbecue place, lots of free space with grass, and a tennis yard in the garden. There is also a big pool which is for us to use as well whenever we want. If you come by bike or car, you can also go to a lake nearby to go for a swim.

The guest rooms available are for 2-4 people.

*Camping includes either indoor camping (sleeping on a mat with a sleeping back inside the house) or a place for your van or caravan to sleep in.

  • Bed in a shared bedroom (2-4 people): 399€ (349€ for members)

  • Camping*: 329€ (279€ for members)

Regular Prices after 15.5.

  • Bed in a shared bedroom (2-4 people): 429€ (379€ for members)

  • Camping*: 359€ (309€ for members)

The fee covers the practice sessions and teaching, as well as accommodation, sauna and pool. Travel and food have to be paid by each participant on their own. (Traveling can be organized together through our WhatsApp group, we organize grocery shopping and shared food preparation on-site).

Registration for the event is valid when the required amount has been posted as payment received. Participation can not be canceled but transferred up to 24h before the event. The cancellation/transfer must be communicated via email to hey@bewegungskollektiv.de.
